Yes - God can heal the fleshly body. Aside from miracles, it is through various types of prayer and by His power
it is done. We must pursue fellowship with God for God to hear our prayers, then we may
pray for God to heal through various types of prayers.
Psalm 66:18
"If I regard iniquity in my heart,
the Lord will not hear me
".
If there is any sin in your life, get rid of it, as any sin you know of or any unknown sin will hinder your fellowship with the Father.
If we think we have no sin
(1st John 1:8-10)
, then we need to realize that ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God
(Rom 3:23)
, and then study the Scriptures to find the sins we committed,
which are the Laws that we broke, so that we may confess them. The Law is a mirror to show us our sinful condition.
God wants us to ADMIT we sinned against Him, AND confess our sins directly to Him, and then God will forgive them.
Prayer for healing also involves confessing our sins directly to our heavenly Father in Jesus name, so fellowship can be restored between us.
Now that you've had the New Birth and you are now an adopted child of God,
your soul is saved and sinless in God's eyes and is now subject to
The Law Of Spirit and Life
(Rom 8:2)
. Being now a saved soul, Jesus gave us two commandments, to love God and the brethern. You are eternally secure as you are now
STANDING
on Jesus Christ the Rock.
At the "Rapture" you will get the new glorified body that God has promised you, but until then you (your saved soul)
still has to walk in your fleshly body that is subject to the
Law Of Sin And Death
(Rom 8:2)
,
so the
sins
you commit after the New Birth will affect your fleshly body, other people, and
your fellowship with God
. The 10 commandments
and all the Old Testament Laws,
Blessings
and
Curses
are still in effect regarding the
FLESH
.
This variable condition that you are in is commonly referred to as the
STATE of your fellowship with God. To righteously pray to God we must be spiritually minded, not carnally minded or double minded.
Gal 6:7-9
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his
flesh
shall of the
flesh
reap
corruption
;
but he that soweth to the
Spirit
shall of the
Spirit
reap
life everlasting."
Rom 7:24-25
"O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver
me from the body of this death?
I thank God through
Jesus Christ our Lord
. So then with the
mind I myself serve the law of God
; but with the
flesh the law of sin".
Rom 8:6
" For to be
carnally minded
is death; but to be
spiritually minded
is life and peace."
Being spiritually minded will allow us to rightfully ask God for our healing, through prayer, and then the permissive will of God will ALLOW us to pursue healing through physical fleshly means. He will then PERMIT it,
as this is the permissible will of God. Then the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, can lead us with thoughts and ideas, which were previously "blocked" methods of healing,
as when we were out of fellowship with God our hearts (understanding) were blinded to these truths.
1st Peter 3:7-12
" Likewise, ye
husbands
, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the
wife
, as unto the weaker vessel, and as
being heirs together
of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called,
that ye should inherit a blessing
.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their prayers
: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.".
If a Husband and wife are out of fellowship and not of one accord, arguing and fighting one another, "railing for railing", then "the face of the Lord is against them that do evil", and prayer will be of none effect.
We are to love one another, and understand that the real enemy are the evil spirits manifesting and puppet-ting you and your spouse. Jesus told us to love one another and so we should pray for one another,
bless and curse not.
Ephesians 4:26-27
"Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil."
Do not argue with your spouse and then go to bed, as it will give place to the devil and open doors for enemy spiritual attacks, either keeping you from getting to sleep or tormenting you while asleep with nightmares.
God can also help us find physical healing by arranging us meeting someone that God
placed in our path for help. Healing our hearts, emotional healing, can be done in an instant by the power of the will in choosing to forgive every person that has hurt you. Un-forgiveness is a heavy load to bear, and
un-forgiveness and bitterness manifest in the flesh; as what we sow, so shall we reap.
Jesus told us to love one another and so we should pray for one another.
When we tell a Brother or Sister in the Lord exactly what our problems are, then our Brothers and Sisters can pray to deliver us from them, and also to pray for healing.
